New poem hits the cyberian steppes … at Spare Parts Literary
Another poem gratefully welcomed into another’s house, going live today at Spare Parts Literary. As with everything of mine accepted for publication, you can read for free (best unofficial lit-mag ever) by roaming and rambling around the links at the Publications page of this site, easily access from the home page.
Hope you enjoy, and hope you have a calm, peaceful, spiritual holiday season suffused with muchg quiet time reading poetry, fiction, the fruits of many imaginations. It’s a flood. I recently read a roundup of the book publishing scene from Bowker. Around 3 million books — from traditional publishers, and self-publishing — hit the market this past year. A lot, right? You bet. Ten times what went to market in 2005.
One can interpret that in many ways. In that pile, surely, you can find many marvelous works. As has always been the case, whether from institutional publishers or writer-sponsored publishing, some is great, and much isn’t. Lest you disparage self-publishing, just Google who among the greats of our literary canon pushed their work into the public eye without a corporate assist. Some interesting names.
